Balance : to bring into harmony or proportion
Do we ever have balance? Is there always something that keeps us off-balance? Seems like we can do good in one area of our lives but then there is the area(s) that are off or not where we would like them to be. When was the last time you felt balance? I can’t remember the last time.

Are we out of balance because we work too much, or not rest or play enough? When was the last time you played a board game with friends or family? Took a walk without watching the clock?
Watched the sunset?
Balance is not just a Zen thing, it’s not “New Age”, it’s what makes us feel good about our lives. We can have balance and not just be a slave to the system. It does take effort to be balanced, but the reward far outweighs the effort. You will not be irritated all the time, angry, depressed, lonely and feel despair. Whatever it is that gives you balance, do those things. Take care of yourself, walk, run or ride a bike. Get physical, and then work your mind-not in front of the TV or computer, but read a book or magazine. Volunteer help someone less fortunate than you.
These are just a few things that can help restore balance in your life. Slow down, enjoy the life you have.
